National Hot Lap Challenge
National Hot Lap Challenge
Find out if you are the fastest
The monthly Hot Lap Challenge with a prize purse on it. Pay the entry fee, set your time, and the fastest drivers across every participating Shift Arcade venue win cash prizes. 18 and over.
What it is
The first cash prize competition in the USA for sim racing
Real motorsport pays its fastest drivers. Amateur sim racing has mostly paid them in bragging rights. The National Hot Lap Challenge closes that gap with a real cash purse, and it puts drivers from Shift Arcade venues in different states on one leaderboard, chasing the same times.
Every month the board opens again. When the month's challenge ends, the fastest drivers take home cash prizes. Lap time decides it, the same way every board at Shift Arcade ranks, so the only way up the order is to find more speed.
How it works
From registration to a cash prize
Register once
A one-time registration on our website. You need to be 18 or over. You do not need to be an Apex Club member.
Join the challenge
Pay the entry fee and you are on that month's leaderboard. You join each paid challenge yourself, so booking a session never enters you by accident.
Book your laps
Sim time is booked separately, at the venue's normal session prices. Book as many sessions as you like and keep improving your time.
The fastest drivers win
When the challenge closes, the top finishers on the national board win cash prizes, paid through our payments provider. The number of prize places is set for each leaderboard.
